Private room and full bath 2 blocks from the College: walk to class in 10 minutes
1 bedroom suite to rent for the spring term in a newly renovated home two blocks from the College. Everything about this room is perfect for a single grad student or faculty/staff who wants a safe, quiet, comfortable place to concentrate on their work. The room is fully furnished with a full-sized bed, dresser, small desk, and a small refrigerator. There's a 32" smart TV on the wall, lots of closet space, the bed has a new mattress with bedding-2 sets of sheets and pillows with allergen covers. The private bathroom has a shower with all new fixtures; we even provide new towels. All you need is your toothbrush! The room is on the 3rd floor of a meticulously clean family home in the historic College Terrace neighborhood; only two blocks from Zable Stadium. Owners are a retired couple in their '50s with no children living at home (except for the mildly overweight cat) and you would be welcome to share the common areas of the home with us with unlimited access to the kitchen/laundry. There is an attached 1-car garage where you may store a bike or small baggage. The room does not have a private entrance, and we ask that you take your shoes off inside the house and clean up after yourself. We adhere to COVID regulations and you must have a negative test prior to moving in. A successful guest will be quiet, respectful and clean. We allow no smoking of any type anywhere on the property. We can't allow any overnight guests, but if your parents or friends are coming to visit, we have other rooms that we would be happy to make available. The monthly rent is $800 all-in, deposited electronically on the first of each month. You will be renting month-to-month, and we ask for full rent each month even if you are not staying for the full month. We also ask for a $800 security deposit which will be returned to you after you leave in accordance with Virginia's landlord-tenant statutes. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we will be following strict cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
